Ms. Promila Narain Jaiswal
Patient at AktivOrtho

´At AktivOrtho, the approach has been extraordinary. I would definitely recommend this centre to those seeking medical advice. I now feel much better and have seena big improvement in my activities of daily living - I am able to do much more myself.´

“I heard about AktivOrtho from its founder, Dr. Gerd Mueller (MD) and a friend, Mr. Armin Albert. I visited the centre as I was having backache and tremors in my hand. I saw a physiotherapist a year ago but found very little improvement and that was only temporary. AktivOrtho is very different to any other centre that I have ever been to.

What was different about AktivOrtho?

  • They are very focussed and every patient is given the personal attention they require. Patients are treated with a lot of care.
  • They are very thorough in their work and make sure that the patient is comfortable at their centre.
  • They go into very subtle details to know the exact problem before they treat it.

It is amazing to experience that how, with a few exercises and myofascial treatment sessions, the patient heals without any medication. At AktivOrtho, the approach has been extraordinary. I would definitely recommend this centre to those seeking medical advice. Mr. Akshay, my physiotherapist, has done a great job, with guidance from Dr. Mueller.

Now, I feel much better and have seen a big improvement in my activities of daily living - I am able to do much more myself. My movements are in full range and there is great relief to my back and hand”.

Comments by Physiotherapist Mr. Akshay Arora

“Ms. Jaiswal’s main complaints were severe pain in her upper and lower back with tremors in the right hand. She also had difficulty in performing her daily chores as her back would start hurting.

Her treatment started with a comprehensive spine assessment. Initially, we focussed on releasing her upper and lower back muscles and opening the restrictions in her spinal joints. A few of the neurodynamic techniques were used to reduce the tremors in her right hand. The manual therapy sessions resulted in the reduction of pain and stiffness. The normal range of motion in the spine was achieved by the end of four weeks of manual therapy sessions. A couple of the active spinal movements were also taught in the initial phase of the treatment.

The second part of her treatment involved AktivTraining to facilitate some functional movements and correct her posture. After around 8 weeks, she was able to perform her daily chores without any difficulty and now feels more upright and better in her posture.

Currently, Ms. Jaiswal comes to AktivOrthothrice a week to strengthen her upper and lower back and maintain her functional movements under our supervision. The new exercise plan involves the whole body conditioning witha balance and coordination training”.
