Mr. Sooraj Prakash Dhingra

I made my first visit to AktivOrtho at the Punjabi Bagh centre in July 2015 after being recommended by my daughter-in-law Mrs Monica. Being a patient of frozen left shoulder and cervical pain, I was suffering from severe pain in the shoulder which was causing restriction of my movements.

Earlier, I had visited a couple of other centres where only passive therapy was given and there was less emphasis on exercise and rebuilding. At AktivOrtho, I experienced quite the opposite. It is the quality of their manual techniques that has relieved my pain. The variety of exercises and their highly equipped space was something I had never experienced before. My physiotherapist, Ms. Samidhi Saxena is very sincere and patient oriented and has an empathetic attitude towards patients.

The care received at Aktivortho has been very focused and diligent. The doctors and therapists are well qualified and very experienced. Their professional acumen reflects in the quality of work and now I really feel young and active.

Mr. Dhingra was suffering from severe pain in his left shoulder and his movements were restricted. He was experiencing pain in the neck, which was radiating down the left arm.

After the initial assessment was carried out, he was diagnosed with periarthritis of the left shoulder with cervical radiculopathy and scapular instability.

A comprehensive evaluation of neck and shoulder was done. The initial phase of treatment was based on manual therapy sessions comprising of myofascial release of tight tender muscles and low grade mobilisation of the patient’s left shoulder so as to reduce the pain and improve his range of motions. Mr. Dhingra responded to our manual therapy sessions very well and 80 percent of his pain vanished in the first six to eight sessions. In continuation of the treatment plan, he was then subjected to the second phase of AktivTraining.

AktivTraining continued for a few more sessions to strengthen the left shoulder. This phase of rehabilitation was focussed on strength training which included muscle build up of the shoulder and scapular strength exercises. After three months of rehabilitation program at the centre, swelling of the shoulder was gone and the level of pain was drastically reduced. There was a distinct improvement in range of motions of the left shoulder as a result of which, he is now able to perform his daily functional activities painlessly.

Mr. Nishant Bajaj

I was suffering from severe shoulder pain and came to AktivOrtho in January 2014 on advice of a friend. The meticulous approach and the details gone into by Dr. Mueller and his team helped in the analysis of my ailment and I was diagnosed with tendonitis. The physiotherapists responsible for my rehabilitation programme, Ms. Nidhi Arora and Mr. Akshay Arora, chalked out a strategy and the care taken by them was absolutely stupendous. The focus was on personal care by regular interaction and their personal indulgence motivated me to adhere to the stipulated regimen. Every aspect was addressed and there was a lot of diligence from their side which made me feel so 'well taken care of'. I have recovered and developed strength in my body which has given me a lot of confidence about my physical abilities. There is no doubt that the quality of treatment in AktivOrtho is above par! I wish the centre the very best of luck in all their future endeavors.

Mr. Nishant Bajaj complained of shoulder pain and was diagnosed with tendonitis. Accordingly, a rehabilitation programme was formulated which included circuit functionality with core stability exercises. The patient was motivated to be regular in following the laid down regimen and with constant monitoring and encouragement, all aspects of the programme were followed. He was also advised exercises which could be done at home. There is a visible improvement in Mr. Nishant's condition now and he feels more strengthened in the core and his fitness level has improved immensely
