´The rehabilitation process at AktivOrtho™ is very different and professional. The physiotherapists as well as other staff know how to deal with the patients. Therapists have good knowledge of the subject and the quality and care are outstanding.´

“I heard about AktivOrtho™ from one of my German friends. As I was suffering from low back pain, I visited the centre for the first time in February 2014. The rehabilitation process at AktivOrtho™ is very different and professional. The physiotherapists as well as other staff know how to deal with the patients. Therapists have good knowledge of the subject and the quality and care are outstanding.

My condition improved slowly but it was a good progress. I can say without an iota of doubt that the western approach of AktivOrtho™ is very different from what is followed by other facilities here.

It is a place of good advice and very professional approach. The machines are one-of-a-kind and the staff are very caring and helpful”.

Comments by Physiotherapist Ms. Lipi Verma

“Mr. Azharuddin came to AktivOrtho™ with back pain. He was diagnosed with chronic cervical syndrome, thoracic hypomobility and hip pain. We started his treatment with a comprehensive assessment and our plan included not just the complaint areas but also the entire postural presentation and functional movements of the patient. We first used myofascial release for his muscular stiffness, followed by stretching for the fascia and spinal mobilisation with neurodynamics to address his radiating pain. As his pain got better, we started with functional training and focused on correct movement pattern.

The patient complained of a lot of stiffness in his lower back which, when examined by Dr.Gerd Mueller (MD), came from the stance he took while batting when playing cricket. So, we worked on corrective functional training and within two weeks, we stopped his pain. The patient then focused on losing weight and did intensive strength-training which helped him to stay pain-free.

His progress was gradual but he moved positively towards the aimed goals. The patient’s dedication to following disciplined exercise regime and maintaining right posture helped to achieve recovery faster.

Now, Mr. Azharuudin is absolutely pain-free and strong enough to continue his strength exercises along with his activities of daily living (ADLs)”.
